Saffron Walden Motors is a family owned & run business established in 1938.
Originally started by Maurice Hobbs in Station Road as ‘Walden Motors’, and Station Street as ‘Hobbs Bros’. Later moving to current High Street premises in 1958, purchasing and renaming the retiring ‘Bailey Motors’, to ‘Saffron Walden Motors’.
Serving as main dealers for Standard, Triumph, Sunbeam, Singer, British Leyland, MG, Austin and Rover up until 1996.
We are now independent and sell cars we feel will give good reliability and service for longer term ownership.
